What I love most about the New Museum is its constantly changing exhibits. The New Museum really defies conventionality with its avant garde exhibits that often challenge societal mores and sensitive subjects.

I agree with Renee C. there are a lot of WTF moments. But embrace them and don't shout "that's art!?" because after all, you didn't think of trying it did you?

There was jammin video art on the first floor when I visited. You could sit on a white spacey bench and watch to simultaneous video art clips spin in sequence to some crazy eastern european vocal trance. Loved it.

The old-school printer that shot out news stories every time an RSS feed would pick up a news story was pretty fantastic as well. However, the Saddam Hussein 'glitter' montage was, well....I don't even know. Please tell me someone else saw this.

I would definitely come back when they change up the exhibits. Great place for a funky afternoon!
